Why Excessive Sweating Can Invite Nail Fungus

Hyperhidrosis is a annoying condition where an individual sweats profusely at inconsistent and unpredictable times.  Heat and/or humidity has nothing to do the amount of sweat nor when an episode will kick in.  The condition usually is found in the primary sweat glands of the armpit and foot areas.

It can not only irritating but also downright embarrassing to be constantly sweating from your feet.  Very often this condition is accompanied by an unpleasant foot odor, and when found in the hands produces that constantly clammy feel where the hands are never dry.  Clearly when these symptoms are strong, a person feels withdrawn and probably will do nearly anything to hide the odor or sweaty appearance associated with Hyperhidrosis.

One of the true medical risks that having constantly sweaty feet presents is that it creates a perfect environment for bacteria, mold and fungal agents that cause toenail fungus.  Excessive bacteria in the toe region can turn into an infection, warts around the toes or around the hair follicles that are located on various places on a person’s feet.  Constantly wearing socks and shoes that do not allow your feet to breath throughout the day can increase this condition as well.  Because heavy-duty perspiration exacerbates the inflammation of skin people with this condition often suffer from other related skin conditions like eczema or general skin fungus.

Then, once a skin fungus is picked up in the region of the feet, it is extremely likely that the fungal agents will find their way into a nail bed and create a toenail fungus infection.  If you are currently suffering from skin fungus around the feet or a minor to medium-level nail fungus infection, we suggest you pick up a bottle of Funginix and begin your treatment right away.
